CEA and TfL launch Olympics travel advice

June 15, 2012

The CEA and Transport for London today launched a Customer Travel Advice document with information and advice for people making a trip to the cinema in and around the capital during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The document – which can be downloaded here – gives hints on journey planning and some ideas on how customers can avoid the worst of the crowds as London gears up for this once in a lifetime event.

Commenting on the guidance, Dee Davison, Senior Policy Executive at the CEA, said:

“The Olympics is fast approaching and there will be a huge influx of people coming to the capital. There are a wide range of great films coming to the Big Screen this summer, and some cinemas will even be screening Olympics events.

London is home to some of the biggest and best-known cinemas in the country, with huge screens and the latest digital technology in sound and vision. We want to make sure that our guests can experience all that London has to offer and get to and from the cinema with the least amount of disruption possible during the Olympics. But this will require some planning.

We have produced this document, in partnership with colleagues at Transport for London, to help people make those plans so they don’t miss out on the excitement.”
