Today sees the start of in-cinema voting for the second annual National Movie Awards.
The British public will get the chance to vote for their favourite movies and actors of the last 12 months through voting forms available in cinemas across the UK. They will also be able to vote online and by post, phone or via text messaging.
Once the votes have been counted, a glittering awards ceremony will be held at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Monday 8 September and broadcast at prime time the following night on ITV1.
As well as seeing the film-makers and stars collect their awards, the audience and television viewers will also get some exclusive sneak previews of films coming up later in 2008 and into 2009.
Voting runs for two weeks, ending on Sunday 17 August.
