UK cinema audiences are getting a sneak preview of the films coming to theatres over the next few months.
The Autumn Collection trailer – produced by the Film Distributors’ Association and screened with the support of the CEA – features almost 40 films to be released nationwide between now and the end of 2008.
Films previewed include:
Australia, Blindness, Body of Lies, Brideshead Revisited, Burn After Reading, Choke, City of Ember, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Death Race, Drona, Eagle Eye, Easy Virtue, The Fall, Fly Me to the Moon, The Foot Fist Way, Ghost Town, Gonzo, Good Dick, Hamlet 2, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, Igor, Inkheart, Julia, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Max Payne, Mirrors, Pride and Glory, Quantum of Solace, The Rocker, Role Models, Slumdog Millionaire, Taken, The Tale of Despereaux, Transporter 3, Waltz with Bashir and White Christmas (reissue).
The aim of the trailer is once again to remind audiences that cinema is the first and best place to see film. It follows on from the Summer of Film trailer which ran in theatres earlier this year, previewing a range of films, many of which went on to be a huge hit with audiences.
Commenting on the trailer, FDA Chief Executive Mark Batey said:
‘Building on a hugely successful summer for cinemas, we think the schedule of films coming to UK screens this Autumn and Winter offers something to engage and excite audiences of every age and taste. This trailer gives audiences a preview of the dazzling variety of high quality movies available over the coming months.’
The trailer began screening in cinemas across the UK on Friday 19 September.
