The CEA today congratulated the awards winners and nominees for the 2009 RAAM awards.

The Awards Dinner took place on 4 February at the Millennium Hotel London in support of the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund.

Speaking after the event, CEA Chief Executive Phil Clapp, who presented the award for Cinema Circuit of the Year, said:

“After another strong year, with admissions and box office both rising despite the economic downturn, the RAAM awards were a chance for exhibitors and distributors to get together and celebrate the achievements of 2008 in cinema.

It was also an opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and form new partnerships to build on that success in 2009. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees.”
