The CEA today published its latest Annual Report, setting out the issues and areas addressed by the Association during another successful year for UK cinema exhibition.
Commenting on the document, CEA Chief Executive Phil Clapp said:
2008 saw the UK cinema exhibition sector continue to thrive, showing resilience in the face of the significant challenges presented by the economic downturn.
During the course of the year, members of the CEA supported it across a wide range of areas, including the ongoing work to tackle problems of film theft, changed to the Licensing Act and how further to improve access to cinemas for disabled people.
Here and in all other areas, the CEA was hugely grateful for their enthusiasm and commitment.’
