UK cinema audiences will from this weekend get a sneak preview of many of the movies coming to UK cinema screens over the summer months.

A new ‘Summer of Cinema’ trailer  – produced by the Film Distributors’ Association and shown in UK cinemas with the support of the CEA will give cinema customers a taster of the wide range of high quality films on offer.

The trailer, which can be seen on this site, features extracts from the following movies:

Star Trek; Transformers 2; Night at the Museum 2; Ice Age 3; Coraline; Inglourious Basterds; Public Enemies; Land of the Lost; Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince; Angels & Demons; Wolverine; Adventureland; Jonas Brothers Concert Experience; GI Joe; Hannah Montana The Movie; Red Cliff; The Proposal; The End of the Line; Imagine That; Ghosts of Girlfriends Past; Blood: The Last Vampire; Terminator Salvation; G-Force; Hamlet 2; O’Horten; Bandslam; Synecdoche New York; Tormented; Funny People; 12 Rounds; The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3;  and Broken Embraces.

Commenting on the trailer, FDA Chief Executive Mark Batey said:

“This is not a film specific message. Our message is that the cinema is the most fantastic place to experience new stories.”

Adding his support to the campaign, CEA Chief Executive Phil Clapp added:

“By any measure, last Summer was an exceptional one for UK cinema. With so much else to concern our customers at the moment, we want to remind them that the cinema is the best place for captivating and escapist entertainment. This Summer’s strong slate of films bears that out.”
