The CEA today announced plans for an industry conference showcasing the 3D technologies currently available to cinema exhibitors.
With interest in 3D riding high on the back of the unprecedented success of James Cameron’s Avatar, the conference will provide exhibitors and others with an objective assessment of the alternative 3D technologies on offer, both digital and 35mm.
There will be a chance to several of these systems in operation and ask current users about technical practicalities and costs. A panel of expert industry speakers will also be present to offer advice.
The conference is intended to give exhibitors the information needed to make decisions on purchasing 3D equipment now or in the future.
Speakers include:
- Max Bell, Bell Theatre Services
- Peter Hall, Future Projections
- Tom Cotton, Technicolor
- Richard Phillips, Arts Alliance Media
- Graham Lodge, Sound Associates
- David Pope, Independent cinema consultant
Tickets cost £60 + VAT for CEA and UK Digital Funding Group members. Standard tickets cost £75 + VAT.
