Prominent CEA members were amongst the winners at last week’s RAAM Awards ceremony, held in London.

The industry awards – held at the Marriott Grosvenor Hotel – were attended by many of the leading companies from the world of theatrical exhibition and distribution.
Key winners announced on the night included a lifetime achievement award for Gerald Parkes of Parkway Cinemas, marking his fifty years in the cinema industry.
Gerald – a member of the CEA Executive Board – operates cinemas in Cleethorpes, Barnsley and Louth.
Other key winners were Vue Entertainment, who won the UK Cinema of the Year award for their groundbreaking Westfield site, and WTW Cinemas, who won Independent Cinema of the Year for their new state of the art White River site at St Austell.
The evening also saw Warner Bros and E One Films honoured as Distributor of the Year and Independent Distributor of the Year respectively.
The industry-funded listing service www.yourlocalcinema.com won the Barco Award for Innovation in Cinema and the evening culminated with recognition of David Puttnam’s contribution to the world of cinema with the International Award.
