The shortlist for the 2015 Screen Awards has today been announced.
The Awards, which cover those working in cinema exhibition, film distribution and marketing, are intended to identify and celebrate excellence in the sector. Those shortlisted for the three exhibitor categories were as follows:
Cinema of the year – from a company 25 screens or over
- Cineworld Cinemas – Feltham, Middlesex
- Curzon Cinemas – Victoria
- Odeon – Dorchester
- Picturehouse – Hackney
- Showcase Cinemas – Bluewater
- Vue Entertainment – Westfield, Shepherds Bush
Cinema of the year – from a company with 24 screens or under
- BFI NFT
- Genesis Cinema
- Glasgow Film Theatre
- Kinema in the Woods
- Leiston Film Theatre
- Saffron Screen
- Showroom Cinema
- Ultimate Picture Palace
Cinema Marketing Campaign of the Year (sponsored by Movio)
- Picturehouse Cinemas
- Showcase Cinemas
- Vue Entertainment
The recipient of the 2015 Exhibition Achievement Award, sponsored by the UK Cinema Association, will be announced in due course.
The full shortlist in each category can be found here, with the winners to be announced at the Awards ceremony which takes place in Central London on Thursday 22 October.
