The UK Cinema Association has welcomed the latest conviction of an individual for recording and distributing films from a UK cinema, the second such judgment in a matter of weeks.
Following on from the conviction earlier this month of Ryan Finnigan, who attempted to record T2: Trainspotting at a Vue cinema in Glasgow in February 2017, last week also saw the conviction of Jordan Quartermain at Newcastle Crown Court, this time for attempted film theft at two cinemas in the North East, including the Empire Cinema, Sunderland back in July 2015.
The UK Cinema Association congratulates colleagues at the Film Content Protection Agency and those at the cinema sites involved for their success in this long-running and challenging case.
