The UK Cinema Association has today published its 2018 Annual Report, setting out its activities during an exceptional year for the UK cinema industry.
The report, which can be found here, sets out the Association’s work across a range of areas, including lobbying and advocacy, advice on regulatory and operational challenges and cross-sectoral activity on issues such as film theft.
In a year when UK cinema admissions reached their highest level for 50 years, the Association also held a highly-successful conference on e-commerce and retail and the increasing links between cinema development and local regeneration.
Commenting on the report and its contents. UK Cinema Association Chief Executive Phil Clapp said:
‘We’re delighted to provide this update on our work across last year, much of which on issues which continue to be relevant to our members now and into the future.
We would like to thank all of those who supported us in 2018 – our Executive Board and wider membership, but also a large number of colleagues across the cinema industry without which much of our work would not be possible.’
Hard copies of the report are available on request.
