UK Cinema Association members featured prominently across a range of categories as the shortlists of nominees for the 2023 Big Screen Awards were announced today.
In the closely-fought cinema of the year categories, the shortlists were as follows:
Cinema of the Year (24 screens or under)

- Highland Cinema, Fort William
- Jam Jar Cinema, Whitley Bay
- The Living Room Cinema, Liphook
- The Montrose Playhouse, Montrose
- Palace Cinema, Broadstairs

Cinema of the Year (25 screens or over)

Award winners will be announced at the 2023 Big Screen Awards in London on Thursday 23 November.
