Annual Conference 2026. Save the date. 12-13 May. Retention Reach Revenue: Growing cinema audiences. Vue Cinema London Westfield (Shepherd's Bush)The two-day conference will draw on the experience of those working across a range of areas – including programming, marketing, retail and technology – to broaden and deepen cinema audiences. Learnings will be shared from the UK and further afield, all with the aim of increasing awareness of the range of relevant activity across the sector, and in particular to give those cinema operators in attendance ideas they might apply at their own venues.

Announcing the event, UK Cinema Association Chief Executive said:

‘The last few years have seen renewed efforts by UK cinemas to broaden and deepen audience engagement, mindful of the ever-increasing number of ways that people can spend their leisure time and of an increasingly noisy media landscape. If the cinema sector is not just to recover but to thrive into the future, it will need both to increase frequency of attendance by existing cinema-goers and to ‘broaden the net’ to bring in the widest possible audience.

That need for a diversity of offerings is reflected in the wide range of approaches seen across different venues and companies, with some looking to upscale the general offer, others to attract specific groups and others to use cutting-edge technology in identifying and engaging potential audiences.

Our 2026 conference could not therefore have come at a better time and offers a chance for everyone to consider new and improved approach in this area.’
