On Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 October, the UK Cinema Association held its 2021 annual conference – The Big Screen Experience: the Next Chapter – at the Cineworld at the O2 in Greenwich.
Attended by over 300 UKCA members and colleagues from across the industry, participants heard over the two days of the event presentations and panel sessions considering the recovery of the sector following the pandemic – lessons learnt so far and what more needed to be done to regain the levels of success seen pre-COVID.
Not least given the recent extraordinary box office performance of the James Bond filmĀ No Time to Die, the mood of the event was positive and constructive, with a great deal of optimism as to the future of the sector and of UK cinema-going.
These pages contain many of the presentations delivered, as well as images across the two days of the event.
Huge thanks to all those who attended – whether in person or online – and to our speakers and panellists. Also to those many sponsors below, without whom the event would genuinely not have been possible.
We look forward to seeing you all at our next conference, planned for March 2022.
